-koy "i wish for a gumball"
-brooke "i wish for a fish"
-kelsi "i wish for a hummer"
and kaden didn't wish for anything right away and i started teasing him that he wanted too many things for just one wish and he said "no mom all i want is for aseneth to get better!" that stopped me, i hope i can be a little more like kaden and in my busy life remember those in need. aseneth died the next month but kaden still prays for her family. (me too)
we had the kids gymnastics recital at the end of the month-it was a little long but we were glad grandma and grandpa anderson and aunt christy and her kids could come up to see it.
kaden played baseball this year-the real baseball with all the rules and kids pitching... i have to be honest-it's not my favorite sport. for one: this may was so cold- every game was just freezing and i'm a wimp in the cold. for two: kids pitching is just crazy at this age we went 3 innings without anyone hitting a ball (boring-in the cold). for three: i don't know the rules so i was always telling kaden to do something wrong (and i'm a little to loud-in the cold). for four: my kids get so so so so so dirty at baseball games, even in the cold! for five: the game is just a little too slow...i could go on but as long as kaden likes to play i'll go and watch and cheer him on-even in the cold. a cute little story from one of the games- i let brooke and koy play on the play ground and just check on them from across the field, well i couldn't see them on the merry-go-round so i started to walk over and i see brooke walking over to were i was carrying koy. i could tell she was having a hard time so i ran over and koy lifted his head and he was bleeding. brooke said the big kids on the merry-go-round had went too fast and spun him off and he hit his head on a rock. i told her that i was so proud of her for helping him. i love when my kids look out for each other! this reminded me of that song..."he's not heavy, he's my brother!"
kelsi finished up her volleyball season this month- i loved watching her play. i have always enjoyed watching volleyball but it's super fun when i can cheer on one of my favorite people. kelsi improved so much and i hope she will continue to play and enjoy it.
