may in review

kelsi got a bunny-i don't know how i was talked into it, i'm still trying to figure it out!
i got to go to a super fun scrapbooking weekend at my friend tammies cabin up in island park.
brooke graduated from pre-school on the 21st- she of course had to act shy the whole time.
a quick little story about kaden this month: we had been praying for a little girl, aseneth in his primary class that had leukemia. kaden is very sweet and worried about her often. we had to go to the mall and i went to old navy and i told the kids if they were good i would give them some pennies to throw into the fountain (a favorite thing to do). so as we were all throwing them in i was telling them to make a wish and i was asking what they wished for:
-koy "i wish for a gumball"
-brooke "i wish for a fish"
-kelsi "i wish for a hummer"
and kaden didn't wish for anything right away and i started teasing him that he wanted too many things for just one wish and he said "no mom all i want is for aseneth to get better!" that stopped me, i hope i can be a little more like kaden and in my busy life remember those in need. aseneth died the next month but kaden still prays for her family. (me too)
brooke turned 5 this year and you can tell by the look on her face turning 5 is AWESOME!she had a way fun birthday, her friend sirri gave her "5" surprises throughout the day and it was so fun to see her face each time and wonder who it was from. she did have a dentist appointment that day also...no cavities (happy birthday), hardly any fussing either.we also went to the nature park, one of our favorite places and had a little family party that night.
we had the kids gymnastics recital at the end of the month-it was a little long but we were glad grandma and grandpa anderson and aunt christy and her kids could come up to see it.

kaden played baseball this year-the real baseball with all the rules and kids pitching... i have to be honest-it's not my favorite sport. for one: this may was so cold- every game was just freezing and i'm a wimp in the cold. for two: kids pitching is just crazy at this age we went 3 innings without anyone hitting a ball (boring-in the cold). for three: i don't know the rules so i was always telling kaden to do something wrong (and i'm a little to loud-in the cold). for four: my kids get so so so so so dirty at baseball games, even in the cold! for five: the game is just a little too slow...i could go on but as long as kaden likes to play i'll go and watch and cheer him on-even in the cold. a cute little story from one of the games- i let brooke and koy play on the play ground and just check on them from across the field, well i couldn't see them on the merry-go-round so i started to walk over and i see brooke walking over to were i was carrying koy. i could tell she was having a hard time so i ran over and koy lifted his head and he was bleeding. brooke said the big kids on the merry-go-round had went too fast and spun him off and he hit his head on a rock. i told her that i was so proud of her for helping him. i love when my kids look out for each other! this reminded me of that song..."he's not heavy, he's my brother!"

kelsi finished up her volleyball season this month- i loved watching her play. i have always enjoyed watching volleyball but it's super fun when i can cheer on one of my favorite people. kelsi improved so much and i hope she will continue to play and enjoy it.
